MAP sensor as sync on ITB

Scroll Prev Top Next More

In combination with a Missing tooth crank trigger, MaxxECU can sync on the MAP sensor, even though it is not a recommended setup.

Note: ONLY on Missing tooth trigger systems.

It is recommended to connect the MAP sensor line between the throttle blade and intake valve for best vacuum pulse, do not use any kind of "equalization/leveling" bridge.

Throttle must remain closed during cranking to ensures a pressure drop the MAP sensor can detect.

Note: Only used during engine start and cannot be re synced when engine is running.

Note: to setup, it is required to use the internal ECU Logging at least 500hz to determine the proper MAP DIP value.
