Throttle position

Scroll Prev Top Next More

Note: Inputs from TPS input (CMC1:G2) was completely discarded in MTune versions before 1.108 (when E-Throttle was activated). In newer versions, the TPS analog input wire can be used as "other 0-5v functions".

When E-Throttle is activated in MaxxECU, the RealTime Data value: TPS is actually the pedal position.

throttle position sensor voltage

Main throttle closed voltage

Voltage input (main) from throttle when throttle is fully "closed".

main throttle open voltage

Voltage input (main) from throttle when throttle is fully "open".

backup throttle closed voltage

Voltage input(backup) from throttle when throttle is fully "closed".

backup throttle open voltage

Voltage input(backup) from throttle when throttle is fully "open".

Backup/error checking

Allowed error

The max allowed error between main and backup position allowed. Check RealTime Data value: E-Throttle --> THROTTLE position sensor error.

Backup sensor output type

Linear - When both main and backup signal are linear in relation to each other.

Nonlinear(table) - When the main and backup signal are not linear in relation to each other and requires a custom table.

Examples

All E-Throttle bodies connected to MaxxECU must be calibrated.

Calibrations are made in E-Throttle --> Throttle position.

clip0007

Sample data from a calibration.

Note: During calibration, you need to manually move the throttle to min and max positions, and pressing the corresponding buttons above.

You can also use the throttle control, and motor test duty feature to force the throttle in maxed positions, use with caution though.
